ALLISON SEMANDS is a Summer Analyst at Avascent, a strategy and management consulting firm serving the defense and aerospace industries. Prior to joining Avascent, she interned at the Office of the United States Trade Representative in the Textiles and Apparel division. She has also worked on trade policy on behalf of the Embassy of New Zealand here in D.C. Before delving into the world of trade, she worked at Moon, Wright & Houston, a bankruptcy law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Additionally, Allison has conducted research on modern global governance with Dr. Augusto Lopez-Claros, Director of Global Indicators Group at the World Bank, as well as conducting research at Duke University on the U.S.-Iran nuclear deal.
Allison is a rising senior in Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in International Political Economy and a certificate in Diplomatic Studies.
