Francisco “Paco” Campos
PACO CAMPOS is a research intern at the Cato Institute, where he works with the trade policy team producing research on international trade policy and politics.Prior to that, Paco was the 2018-2019 eBay Policy Fellow, a role in which he produced research on topics at the nexus of technology and commerce. Paco also worked for the Economic Interest Section of the Embassy of Mexico to the U.S. during the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Before moving to Washington, D.C., Paco worked as a researcher at El Colegio de México and the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations (Comexi), both in Mexico City. In these roles, he authored or co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on international trade and investment. Paco was also an associate at Delos Advisors, a boutique management consulting firm that advises senior management of financial institutions in the U.S., Mexico andCentral America.
Paco holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. He graduated with distinction and an honors certificate in International Business Diplomacy.
